The Chicago Tribune reports that the Chicago Board of Education is expected to issue a new schedule for the Chicago Transit Authority buses by early September.
The schedule will replace the current schedules which are due out in early September, the newspaper reported.
The schedule will be posted on the Chicago Public Schools website.
The new schedule will include buses running on Sundays and Thursdays between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m.
The buses will operate on the Red Line and the Purple Line.
The buses are scheduled to run during the school day and are expected to make stops along the Blue Line and Green Line to meet ridership.
