Buses in Thailand are becoming increasingly common, with more than 80 buses operating in the country.
But there are times when drivers need to make their way to safety, especially on busy routes.
On Tuesday, a driver was hit by a bus while he tried to escape from traffic.
The bus driver, a 45-year-old man, was on the highway near the national capital Bangkok when the accident happened.
The driver was rushed to a hospital, where he was treated for serious head injuries.
He was not seriously injured.
According to Thai media reports, he had been trying to flee traffic.
Police said that drivers were also trying to avoid traffic jams on the road, and some of them even stopped for breathalyzers.
A police officer said that the bus driver is recovering from his injuries, but he is likely to be discharged soon.
