The Houston Astros are officially without their third baseman and left fielder in a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Astros announced the injury Tuesday morning, with left fielder Jason Castro and right fielder Jose Altuve not participating.

The lineup will be announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The team released the following statement:The Houston Astros today announced that outfielder Jason Castro (hip) and left-handed hitting prospect Jose Altugui (hamstring) have been activated from the 15-day disabled list.

Both players were activated by their respective teams in the morning on Tuesday.

The right-handed Altugujiship has been placed on the 15th day of the DL.

He is expected to be out for a few days, but has been in excellent physical condition and is expected back for the regular season opener.

The Houston Rockets are also without shortstop Eric Young and center fielder James Johnson.

Young missed last week’s game against Philadelphia because of a bruised right shoulder, while Johnson has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since his start against the Philadelphia Phillies on April 25.

The club has five players on the 25-man roster, including five who were not originally on the roster on April 28: center fielder Carlos Gomez, shortstop Jose Altuzarra, right fielder Alex Bregman, right-hander Jose De Leon and lefty Justin Masterson.
